NBA FINALS 2014: Miami Heat Vs. San Antonio Spurs

The Finals features the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat 
versus the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs. The 
series was a rematch of last year's finals. Miami Heat won the 
series 4-3. It was San Antonio Spurs first Finals defeat.The 
Finals will be played in a 2–2–1–1–1 format. It was Miami Heat 
fourth straight NBA Finals trip, the first team since the 1987 
Boston Celtics. If Heat will win the series they will be  the 
first NBA team to three-peat since the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers. 
They eliminated the Charlotte Bobcats and won 4–0 in the first round. Heat then eliminated the Brooklyn Nets and won 4–1 in the Conference Semifinals.In the Eastern Conference Finals, they faced the Indiana Pacers in a rematch of last year's Conference Finals in which Miami won the series 4-2.
Entering the playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs was going on a 19-game winning streak. It is also the Spurs sixth appearance in the NBA Finals. They eliminated the Dallas Mavericks and won 4–3. They then eliminated the Portland Trail Blazers and won 4–1 in the Conference Semifinals.  In the Conference Finals, they eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder and won the series 4–2. This is the first time the San Antonio Spurs have back-to-back Finals appearances.
